General

The player opens up in a specially sized browser window, enabling you to carry on surfing NATA Online and the rest of the internet whilst you listen. Unfortunately, due to the size of the Player and the music files, a fast connection will be needed to fully enjoy this feature. In any case, your PC must be enabled for sound.

The Player requires you to have the Flash6 plug-in for your browser. Most of you will already have this (you need Flash to see the menu at the top of each page and the saltire graphic on the left), but if not, you can get it free from the Macromedia site.

The Player calls MP3 files - these are not available for downloading (see Copyright Policy) - I'm not trying to rip off these artists, just bring their music to a wider audience (and maybe even boost their album sales!?).

Controls

The Control buttons are on the bottom left of the player. You really need to be on top of these, or you'll wonder why nothing's happening!

• Rewind - this is actually a skip track command and will skip to the start of the previous track
• Stop - this stops the audio stream and returns you to the start
• Pause - this stops the radio where it is (it doesn't actually pause the audio stream). Pressing Play will then return to the start of the current track
• Play - Press this at first to start the audio stream at track 1. Pressing this at any point during the stream will return to the start of the current track
• Forward - This a skip track command to the start of the next track.

Links

There are four link buttons on the player (two on the top right, two on the bottom right) - all open in new browser windows, allowing you to carry on listening.

• Track Info - Opens up the Radio front page at the Track List. This enables listeners to get more info on the Tracks playing.
• About this Player - Opens up this page to give details on the Player and the controls.
• Copyright Info - Opens up the Copyright Page
• NATA Home - Opens up the first page of NATA Online
