And introduing the stars of WFCSA FC (courtesy
        of manager Nick Courtnadge...
      John, keeper
and one of the 'old men' of the team, made his debut in the 2v2 draw with
Sporting Turbo's. One of the team's most consistent performers.
      Jonesey,
the grandad of the side, keeper or defender when work permits, has also
been given the title of 'most foul mouth on the team'. Who by? His wife!
      Steve Storey,
one of the more quiet members of the side, this dependable right back
has been someone the club can always rely on to provide cover down the
right. Also the only member of the side with a full beard.
      Greeny,
the side's very own boy racer. Can put the fear of god into anyone behind
a wheel. Not a bad defender either! Former captain until the pressure
        got a bit much.
      Nick, I'll
leave this for someone else to make their own opinions, but the only member
of the team to get in a fight on pitch over hair!
      Bez, another
quieter member of the side, but a class act. Never shows it in training
        though.
      Lewis,
apart from his awful name he's a pretty useful left sided player. One
of many signings from Worthing Dynamo's not so successful under 16's side
        in 2003.
      Chids,
a skilful midfielder who has a great rapport with Salt, on and off the
pitch. When they're not controlling the midfield together they're scanning
food together at Sainsburys. Club's penalty taker. Signed from Worthing
Dynamoes. Also plays on Saturdays for Edge. No relation to a U2 band member.
      Salt. Signed
from Worthing United's 2003 Under 16 side. Talented midfielder, who, along
with Chids could comfortably play at a higher level. Most intelligent
member of the side by a long way, maths brain box and general know it
        all!
      Rich. Versatile
former Portsmouth and Brighton youth player signed from Worthing Dynamo's
2003 Under 16 side. Can play equally well in defence or midfield. Assured
on the ball, rarely puts a foot wrong. Has a lot of nicknames.
      Martin Lad,
industrious midfielder with silly haircut. Another ex Worthing Dynamo's
player, Can play in defence if needed, or not under the influence.
      Ian Fowler,
the big man of the team. This self confessed 'flair player' is a foreign
signing, coming all the way from Arundel to don the Navy Blue of WFCSA.
Regular absentee from training, at the moment working out his own training
sessions, possibly featuring trips to the Croydon Athletic tea bar?
      Andy Lander,
yet another flair player, scored the club's quickest goal in the 2v2 draw
with Sporting Turbo's. Man of a million excuses, stiff neck for Brighton,
a little tired for The Egremont.... the list goes on.
      Dawson
        - Doesn't have a first name (neither do Chids, Salt or Greeny come to
that) Individual is probably the kindest word we could find for Dawson.
Interestingly he and the hobo that turned up for training once have never
been seen together....draw your own conclusions... good striker on his
        day though.
      Nick (Freddy
Mercury) WFCSAFC's own tribute to Queen in this ex Crawley striker. Another
of the old guard but a guaranteed goal-scorer. Scored 2 blinders in Worthing
Allstars game. Father in law of keeper, John.
      Brian Gringer,
Freddy's mate, dependable, reliable defender or midfielder. Played in
the 6v1 hammering of Worthing Allstars.
      Dave Scane,
useful squad member, hard working and honest. Can play in any position.
      Mike Formoy,
the side's only 'goth'. Provides another attacking option, tricky on the
        ball, tries hard.
      George,
another recruit from abroad (Leicester), has saved us from playing with
10 men in the 9v1 hammering at Brighton (NSC - isn't that a car park?).
      Ben Soro,
recent signing, Dawson's mate, useful midfielder, made debut against The
Egremont and put in a very promising performance.
      Dave, tough
talking Epsom 'geezer'. tore achilles in opening game against Dulwich
and has been helping on the sidelines since. Currently club secretary.
When he comes back defenders need to watch their ankles.
      Ben, John's
brother (if I remember right), played in Salt's Worthing United side.
Useful midfielder, hard working and skilful. Will be a very useful asset
        as theseason progresses.
