For 2014, we had two nominated charities.

Kissingate and Long Man breweries both kindly sponsored two barrels of beer which together with the unused beer tokens donated by nearly 4,440 festival goers benefited the festival charities St. Peter & St. James Hospice and the Rosemary Mount Care Home by £808 each.

Our mission as a registered charity is to provide specialist care, love and support for those living with progressive, life limiting illnesses from East and West Sussex.
We will endeavour to meet the needs of each patient, their family and friends.
We aim to encourage and enable all patients to live their lives to their full potential despite their illnesses.

Set in 28 acres of Sussex countryside, St Peter & St James has spectacular views across the South Downs. We encourage our patients and their loved ones to make the most of our grounds, which include landscaped gardens, a wheelchair friendly woodland walk and a summer house.

All of our Hospice services are free of charge to patients and their loved ones. We receive less than 16% of our funding from the Government and have to raise more than £2.2 million every year through fundraising. That’s £6,225 every single day.

Rosemary Mount has been a care home since 1973 and has 29 rooms.

It was previously run by West Sussex Housing Society, and became part of Keychange in 2011.

Situated in East Worthing, Rosemary Mount is within easy reach of all the facilities that a major seaside town can offer. Worthing has an excellent shopping centre, theatres, cinemas and seaside promenade.

The home is close to East Worthing Station, and a very short ride away from the sea between Worthing and Lancing. On foot the sea front is 15 minutes’ walk away.
In 2009 major investment in the home was made to provide a new entrance hall and sun lounge. This facility has been much enjoyed by residents as a south-facing place to sit.

There are charming gardens at the side and rear together with a patio, all easily accessible by the residents.
