Photo Gallery: Croatia (Home),  September 2001

These photos were taken before (and during) the Scotland vs Croatia game at Hampden on 1st September.  We made an early start at The Iron Horse, and met Billy from Milton Keynes and Andy from Ealing outside whilst waiting for the pub to open.  We also bumped into Zeljko and Goran, and took them with us to our favoured pre-match drinking den, The Scotia.

Morning has broken... just 8.10am in The Iron Horse, and the Malibu and pineapples are on the table! Greeting Mirza Mirza (Bosnian Tartan Army) in the iron Horse, with Ally M, Sue, Billy and Ally Reid.
Mirza and his t-shirt Mirza with his honorary NATA t-shirt. Put it away! Sue helps Pogo to get dressed.
Helen and Susan, probably talking about knitting Sue and Helen with Andy from Ealing (courtesy of Mirza). Seeing double already Ally and Brian (ETA) - long lost twins, or the results of a horrific genetic cloning experiment?
The chosen one! Billy returns from the barbers with a map of Scotland in his head, causing Ally to proclaim him as "the chosen one". In "our corner" of The Scotia Sue and Helen with Allan and David in The Scotia.
Stand up straight now lads Zeljko and Goran again, this time with Ally M. Zeljko and Goran help fly Billy's Greenock flag Zeljko and Goran from Croatia, with Billy and Andy.
Look at the tits on that! Allan comforts Helen from the shock of Brian's nipples. "Chewy, and you can taste the Buckfast marinade" Andy and Ally discuss Scottish cuisine with the Croatian lads.
I've no idea Paul, holding a quiet and sensible conversation. Looking a wee bit bewildered Feeling a wee bit tired and emotional now.
Feeling sleepy now Paul's lopsided view of the first half. Sweet dreams Half-time, and Paul beds down for the night!
